A month after showing his support for the former Miss California Carrie Peajean, it appears like much of his other apprentices, she too is fired. Donald Trump supported her even after topless photos of the beauty were released. He made it clear that Prejean would remain Miss California. The 22 year old Prejean stated today on the "Today Show" that she was not directly notified by Trump.
You may remember that Prejean sparked controversy during the Q&A segment of the competition, in which she stated her belief, that a marraige should be between a man and a woman. I think personally, she did nothing wrong. She simply stated her opinion. It wasn't offensive in the least. Was it the smartest comment to make having Perez Hilton as a Judge?? Possibly Not. She most certainly should not have gotten the "Miss Intellect" award lol.
Trumps camp claims that she was making appearances and events as her contracts stimulate. Yet, she reported on the "Today Show" that she initiated many appearances making calls her self.
The question remains, will Donald Trump "fire" Prejean himself?? What does she care? There is word that she has offers presented to her by Playboy and "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here".
Was the pageant fair to her? What are your thoughts?

Orlando lost their Magic in Game 4
After being up by as many as 10 points during the first half, the game ended with a disappointing lost to the L.A. Lakers 99-91. On the bright side for the Magic, this game was perhaps one of the most competitive, hard fought games, and they have proven than they can compete with the Lakers. So don't be in a rush to discount them just yet. They made the Lakers earn this win. The game went in to double overtime and each time Derek Fisher delivered on point 3 pointer shots. The first 3 pointer was made with 4.6 seconds left on the clock, and Derek appeared wide open. His shot tied the game at 87. This was a total breakdown in Magic defense. The second time he delivered the 3 pointer is more questionable, as his defender , Jameer Nelson appeared to have been elbowed inadvertenly by Kobe Bryant. And we all know in the NBA there is not such thing as an accidental elbow. In any event, no foul was called, again leaving the unsung hero Derek Fisher wide open, and delivering the dagger with with 31.3 seconds left in overtime.
The Magic had numerous opportunities to capitalize on the Laker's offensive woes during the 1st half. So many missed opportunities in only 48 minutes. They missed a huge percentage of free throws, they failed to take front court shots strong to the basket, and they also had a large number of turnovers. These are fundamentals of the game of basketball, and if they Magic are to make a comeback, they must deliver...some magic!

Adam Lambart's Gay Confession No Shocker
Okay the wore "guyliner", tight pants, and tight-fitted shirts virtually throughout the entire competition. As a result, Adam Lambart's confession about his sexuality, should come to a surprise to only...the blind. I don't know why there is a big hoopla over his concession. It's his business!!
What I will say is I personally think that he did the right thing, in keeping anything that would deviate or take attention away from his mega talent separate from the show. Danny Gokey on the other hand, mentioned the story of his predeceased wife, several times, which probably resulted in sympathy votes. The guy is talented though, but I began to wonder if were watching the soaps.
Anyway now that Adam has put all the buzz, hopefully we can stop hearing about the media lamenting personal life.

Woman who missed fatal flight 447--Dies in Car Crash
Talk about an ill twist of fate. An Italian woman who arrived late for the Air France flight that crashed in the Atlantic last week.was killed in a car crash. Having missed the doomed flight, she cheated death once, but was unable to do so a 2nd time around.
Johanna Ganthaler, had been on vacation in Brazil with her husband Kurt, when they arrived at the Rio De Janeiro airport late on May 31st. The ANSA reported that they took another flight back to Austria the following day. All of the passengers aboard the ill-fated flight died, after it crashed 4 hours into its flight to Paris.
This certainly gives meaning to the old adage, that we are here on "burrowed time".

Queen Latifah...I Molested as a Kid
Queen Latifah, in a recent interiew with essence magazine, confessed that she was molested as a child by a teenager. When I first heard of this, I wondered about the timing of this confession. Why now, so many years later? What is Queen Latifah and her PR team up to? A new book, or movie perhaps, perhaps they will be releasing some more telling news in the near future. But in reflecting on the topic of child molestation in the black community, this is no coincidence. Child molestation, while it doesn't discriminate, and happens in all communities, tends to have a more damaging and lingering effect in the black community because like my mom always taught me, " You don't air your dirty laundry". In essence what goes on in your house stays in your house. Not to mention the shame that victims feel, if it ever did come to light of such an occurence in the community, even though it was not there fault. They are even treated as outcasts of sorts. Growing up, I knew of one girl that this happened to in our urban, predominantly minority community. I had never seen or heard of her once word got out. It was as though she disappeared without a trace. She was packed up and sent away. This leads to lingering bouts of depression, stress, and teen sexual activity & pregnancy.
What's amazing to me is even as adults, people often continue to keep their feelings to themselves, as this is the time in our lives in which we are "free". Free to go and come as we please, free to vote, free to make our own decisions; yet still held in bondaage with painful secrets. Why? We don't want our neighbors or "friends" talking about us. My sympathies to the queen, for her experience I would not wish on my worst enemy. However, a strong a person as she is, I find her story to be most inspiring, because she succeeded in life in spite of her challenges. This is living proof that bad things happens to the best of us but only the strong survive, as she did. All hail the Queen!
