Desparately Seeking Jesus: Man plows into Church

A 54-year-old Largo man plowed his vehicle into a Largo church over the weekend, in an attempt to kill himself in order to be closer to Jesus, Largo police said.

Phillip Glenn Wagner has been charged with felony criminal mischief to a church and booked into the Pinellas County Jail, where he was put on suicide watch, Lt. Mike Loux said.

According to reports, Wagner rammed his vehicle into Faith United Methodist Church, at 403 First Ave. S.W., causing $10,000 in damage.

This is strange. Would this be a case of someone being a religious zealot? And if he is so much of a Christian as his actions imply, wouldn't suicide be considered a sin? Just thought I'd throw that out there because in no way am I a biblical expert...not yet at least. If anyone knows, holla.
