Orlando lost their Magic in Game 4

After being up by as many as 10 points during the first half, the game ended with a disappointing lost to the L.A. Lakers 99-91. On the bright side for the Magic, this game was perhaps one of the most competitive, hard fought games, and they have proven than they can compete with the Lakers. So don't be in a rush to discount them just yet. They made the Lakers earn this win. The game went in to double overtime and each time Derek Fisher delivered on point 3 pointer shots. The first 3 pointer was made with 4.6 seconds left on the clock, and Derek appeared wide open. His shot tied the game at 87. This was a total breakdown in Magic defense. The second time he delivered the 3 pointer is more questionable, as his defender , Jameer Nelson appeared to have been elbowed inadvertenly by Kobe Bryant. And we all know in the NBA there is not such thing as an accidental elbow. In any event, no foul was called, again leaving the unsung hero Derek Fisher wide open, and delivering the dagger with with 31.3 seconds left in overtime.

The Magic had numerous opportunities to capitalize on the Laker's offensive woes during the 1st half. So many missed opportunities in only 48 minutes. They missed a huge percentage of free throws, they failed to take front court shots strong to the basket, and they also had a large number of turnovers. These are fundamentals of the game of basketball, and if they Magic are to make a comeback, they must deliver...some magic!
