Legendary Singer Michael Jackson Dead at 50

Legendary Singer Michael Jackson whose career has reached the highest of highs,and lowest lows, has died at age 50, reportedly due to cardiac arrest.

According to TMZ.com, the legendary singer was taken to the hospital earlier today, after aides frantically called 911 upon finding the singer unconcious. Upon arrival of the paramedics,Jackson had no pulse. Michael died within a few hours.

Jackson, the 7th of the Jackson children, became a musical prodigy at the age of 11 as a member of the Jackson five. His career spanned four decades, a virtually unattainable task in the world of music, but it wasn't without controversy. Allegations of child molestation, bad parenting skills, his addiction to plastic surgery, all marred his career and public image. Prior to his death, Jackson had been working on a comeback tour.



Regardless of any one's personal feelings towards the childlike king...of pop, we must give props where they are due. Michael Jackson's impact on popular culture has yet to be replicated. His music transcended race, color, creed and even class. Michael defied characterization. Only at a Micheal concert would you see the unification of people through there love of music.
